[Fraud alert] Vi Postpaid fancy numbers delivery -Cheating

Dear friends, 
Vi Vodafone Idea merged together is now offering sim delivery in 48 hours if we pay around 500-10,000 for favorite numbers from their website. I searched for a number on FEBRUARY 22 2022 & they asked to pay full amount advance . They offered SIM delivery in 48 hours.

Now till MARCH 4 2022, No calls/ proper reply to my tickets are received. Its a fraud alert.

Why Vi SIM PURCHASE FROM Vi website is cheating? 

  1. Vi is taking cash in advance

Normally we are paying for SIM once we get the SIM in hand. Here they asks money in advance without any proper proofs or receipts. We should wait for their mercy to get a call in 48 hours.

2. Vi offers a call back BUT wont happen in 24 hours.

You need to wait for the mercy of customer care executive to contact us. It took around 48 hours for me a get a call from a person introduced as regional sales manager. He said sim will be delivered today ie. FEBRUARY 22 2022.

3. Vi -No calls even after waiting for 4 days. 

No calls & the customer number given is not aware of such an option in website. They keeps us waiting on call which is not toll free. I waited around 30 minutes spending around Rs.45 & got no solution.

4. Vi fraud -Copy pasted support from facebook

Since the toll free number is inactive or incapable, i tried facebook support from their official page. What i get is some automated messages at frequent intervals. No human intervention. Following are the screenshots. If you look closer, the change in canned message is just name at end.

As you can see, copy pasted content is same with change in name at end. First says Pankaj and next as pooja. But of no use as their is no follow up.

5. Vi fraud- Copy paste support from twitter.

Fed up with facebook , i tried twitter support as i paid for it. I got same copy pasted message with change in name alone.

See the same messages copy pasted everywhere. I felt that its fully automated to keep buyers frustrated.

6. Vi fraud – complicating issue without any solution

As you can see from above screenshots, they wants me to provide 8 details for tracking a SIM card i paid. A nearby retailer tracked details with just order ID and confirmed that its stuck after FEBRUARY 23 2022. Means its not assigned to my state or cant update!!

What the hell? Such an incapable team troubling buyers so long. There is no option for refund or proper support. Should i approach a lawyer to get the sim i paid for??

Fed up Vi – I feels like i lost my money.
