UPI Pin not set- Please proceed to set your pin [SBI UPI error] No actions from SBI.

Unable to fetch balance! UPI pin not set. This is an unknown error shown in UPI apps for more than 3 days. Made frequent mails and calls to SBI as well as NPCI for a solution. No response received.

On a side government is promoting digital payments and UPI on other hand, such serious errors are not solved over 3 days.

I personally went to a shop and made a large purchase trusting UPI app in my phone. For my surprise app continuously shown a new error to set UPI pin .   I was using the same over many years and on a sudden starts asking to set PIN. See screenshot below.

From this screenshot you should note 3 things.

1. Date added = APRIL 2020 . This means that im using this for more than 3 years . Not a new account to set PIN.
2. 6 Digit PIN set . Let top below account shows pin set and asking error asking that pin not set.
3. ERROR at bottom showing pin not set !!

 

 

Normally it can be an error from BHIM unless we cross checked. We should do cross checking by ourself as its hard to get reply from SBI or NPCI. So i tried on Phone pe. Screenshot attached.

ERROR SHOWING THAT there is technical issue at your bank and is not solved even after 3 working days. Who cares ?? .
